Injectafer

What is Injectafer?

Please note that due to a nationwide saline shortage, iron infusions are only available at select Pure Infusion Suites locations. Talk to your referring specialist or Patient Access Coordinator for more info.

Injectafer is an iron replacement prescribed to those suffering from iron deficiency anemia (IDA).

Anemia occurs when the body fails to produce healthy red blood cells due to a lack of iron in the body, preventing oxygen from being carried to different tissues throughout the body.

Anemia is easily corrected by taking iron. Oral supplements are available, but often the iron in them is not fully absorbed by the body. As an infusion, injectafer ensures that all of the iron reaches your bloodstream.

Please note that due to a nationwide saline shortage, iron infusions are only available at select Pure Infusion Suites locations. Talk to your referring specialist or Patient Access Coordinator for more info.

Injectafer Cost

Injectafer cost can vary depending on several factors including insurance status and insurance provider. At Pure Infusion Suites, we are committed to lowering costs and improving access for our patients. Our team of patient access coordinators are here to set you up for success.

We work with a growing list of insurance providers, and are always working to ensure claims/authorizations are processed efficiently. All patients are enrolled in co-pay assistance programs to assist in covering costs of treatment.

Additionally, data from an Artemetrx report shows average costs at an outpatient hospital facility are more than 3X higher than costs at an ambulatory infusion center. That means we save our patients’ money, while offering a more comfortable experience!

What to Expect During Your Infusion

Before your infusion, it is important to drink plenty of water and come to your appointment hydrated. Additionally, you must alert us as soon as possible to any changes in your insurance to ensure that we are still an in-network provider for your infusion therapy.

  1. Your dedicated Infusion nurse will check your vitals and review your medical history to check for improvements or potential side effects of your infusion therapy.
  2. Your nurse will begin your infusion and check in on you periodically during your treatment.
  3. After your infusion, your nurse will monitor you for 30 minutes to ensure you do not have any complications or reactions to the infusion therapy.

Patient Stories

Everyone was very pleasant and helpful and concerned for my comfort and welfare. They were all very professional.
I had the best experience at Pure Infusion! I was a little nervous about switching to a new infusion center for my medication, but all of my concerns were quickly put to rest. The experience was absolutely amazing. The staff is incredible, the facility is pristine, and I’m so grateful for both the service and the people.
Excellent as always
My infusion was efficient and very cordial a pleasant experience
I was greeted with happy, smiling faces. Was offered snacks and drinks.
The staff made me feel very comfortable. I was impressed with the knowledge and instructions given to me before my shot. The time that was taken to answer all my questions was very refreshing.
Always an amazing experience. It’s a very welcoming, calming environment. I’ve been going to the for a few years now. And it’s always a pleasant experience. Getting an infusion every six months isn’t fun. I’m normally there for about six hours. And it’s always very comfortable and welcoming environment . I definitely don’t dread getting them like before. I tease my kids and say I’m going to my spa day.
I only had a Prolia shot but it seemed I was at a sauna facility.
This is a very clean polished infusion center. I was very impressed with the service, the big rooms- and snacks provided. So professional. Will definitely be back.
Nice staff, good snacks, nice rooms with big tv
My Nurse Jordyn I probably spelled it wrong. She was amazing. The whole staff is willing and ready to get you going. They explained everything well. Excellent staff and loved the experience.
