Injectafer

What is Injectafer?

Injectafer is an iron replacement prescribed to those suffering from iron deficiency anemia (IDA).

Anemia occurs when the body fails to produce healthy red blood cells due to a lack of iron in the body, preventing oxygen from being carried to different tissues throughout the body.

Anemia is easily corrected by taking iron. Oral supplements are available, but often the iron in them is not fully absorbed by the body. As an infusion, injectafer ensures that all of the iron reaches your bloodstream.

Please note that due to a nationwide saline shortage, iron infusions are only available at select Pure Infusion Suites locations. Talk to your referring specialist or Patient Access Coordinator for more info.

Injectafer Cost

Injectafer cost can vary depending on several factors including insurance status and insurance provider. At Pure Infusion Suites, we are committed to lowering costs and improving access for our patients. Our team of patient access coordinators are here to set you up for success.

We work with a growing list of insurance providers, and are always working to ensure claims/authorizations are processed efficiently. All patients are enrolled in co-pay assistance programs to assist in covering costs of treatment.

Additionally, data from an Artemetrx report shows average costs at an outpatient hospital facility are more than 3X higher than costs at an ambulatory infusion center. That means we save our patients’ money, while offering a more comfortable experience!

What to Expect During Your Infusion

Before your infusion, it is important to drink plenty of water and come to your appointment hydrated. Additionally, you must alert us as soon as possible to any changes in your insurance to ensure that we are still an in-network provider for your infusion therapy.

  1. Your dedicated Infusion nurse will check your vitals and review your medical history to check for improvements or potential side effects of your infusion therapy.
  2. Your nurse will begin your infusion and check in on you periodically during your treatment.
  3. After your infusion, your nurse will monitor you for 30 minutes to ensure you do not have any complications or reactions to the infusion therapy.

Patient Stories

Pure Infusion Suites goes above and beyond to help make your infusion treatments as comfortable as possible. They have not missed anything in making it a positive experience. From the moment you walk in the door to the time you leave the staff makes you feel welcome and cared for. Kandy and Abby go the extra mile. Even all of the amazing people who work in the background go above and beyond April has been my angel in making sure all of the insurance logistics have fallen into place. Thank you for all that you!!
I’ve gone to pure since I opened. They have the most incredible staff very kind understanding and able to help you with your infusion needs. I absolutely would recommend them.
Everyone was very pleasant and helpful and concerned for my comfort and welfare. They were all very professional.
I’ve been getting infusions for 6 years and recently started getting treatment here. I love them! They have snacks (to increase my sodium), TV (distraction), and blankets (to keep me warm) for when my veins are stubborn (they’re notorious for being tricky to get an IV into). So we get pretty spoiled here. What I love though is the team they have here! I have worked closest with Jordan and Shayla (nurses), and Alikah and Abigail. They are awesome and I’m so grateful for their help and kindness!
The staff was SO friendly and made me feel so comfortable. The space is really nice and well taken care of. I am very chronically ill and have done infusions in a wide variety of environments, from the hospital to at home services, etc. This was just such a nice experience, it was so cozy and you can tell the people who run this facility really pay attention to detail and take care of their patients. I liked that it didn't feel like a medical environment, which can feel kind of heavy and depressing. The environment was also very sterile! Definitely looking forward to doing my medical treatments here!
The staff is always very attentive and nice! 10/10 recommend 🙂
This place has been so good! We have no complaints. Everyone is nice
All the people who work there are super nice and helpful! It’s always a smooth process when I come for appointments! Glad to be a patient of theirs!
I receive treatments every two weeks here. The staff are very professional. They are helpful and attentive to ensure a good experience. The facility is clean and neatly organized. I would recommend them to a friend for sure.
My wife goes to Pure every month for her treatments and having been to multiple infusion centers this is by far our favorite. Having our own space and great staff is such a difference maker.
