Infliximab
What is Infliximab?
Infliximab is a class of biologic medications that reduce inflammation in certain cronic conditions. It is sold under other names such as Avsola, Inflectra, Remicade, Renflexis, and Ixifi. It is used to treat autoimmune conditions such as psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, plaque psoriasis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and ankylosing spondylitis.
How does Infliximab work?
Infliximab medications block a protein in your immune system called TNF alpha (tumor necrosis factor). TNF alpha causes inflammation. When you have Chron’s, ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis or psoriasis. your body produces too much TNF-alpha which typically regulates immune health and inflammation in the body.
Too many TNF alpha cells in your immune system can lead to your body wrongly attacking cells in the GI tract, joints, spine or skin leading to inflammation.

We work with a growing list of insurance providers, and are always working to ensure claims/authorizations are processed efficiently. All patients are enrolled in co-pay assistance programs to assist in covering costs of treatment.
Additionally, data from an Artemetrx report shows average costs at an outpatient hospital facility are more than 3X higher than costs at an ambulatory infusion center. That means we save our patients’ money, while offering a more comfortable experience
